🌟 Introduction to Homeostasis ❆⚖☀
Every living thing needs to keep its inside world balanced and stable, even when the outside world changes.
This balance is called homeostasis.
🔎 Explanation
-
Definition: Homeostasis is the process by which the body keeps its internal conditions (like temperature, water, and sugar level) stable so it can work properly.
-
Why important? If our body gets too hot, too cold, too dry, or has too much/little sugar, our organs can’t work well.
🧍 Examples in Humans
-
Body Temperature:
-
If it’s hot, you sweat to cool down.
-
If it’s cold, you shiver to warm up.
-
-
Water Balance:
-
If you drink too little water, your body saves water by making dark yellow urine.
-
If you drink a lot, your urine becomes clear.
-
-
Blood Sugar:
-
After eating sweets, sugar in the blood rises.
-
The hormone insulin helps bring sugar back to normal.
-
✅ In Short
Homeostasis = keeping balance inside the body so we can stay alive and healthy, even when the environment changes.
